Skytellers

Skytellers is a combination literature (storytelling) and science program. Students are made aware of the historical background of astronomy through Native American legends about how various elements of the sky came to be. This is a DVD series followed by discussion and appropriate activities to reinforce the lesson.

The sessions include

  • Old Man Winter, Young Man Spring (Seasons)
  • The Girl Who Married the Moon (Moon Phases)

  • Coyote and the Dancing Stars (Meteors)
